Your membership card

Your membership card must be presented to borrow items.

The member (or parent/guardian) is responsible for items borrowed on their card.

Please notify staff immediately of any loss/theft of your card, or change of contact details.

A replacement fee is charged for each lost/damaged card.
Renewals
May usually be made for a further loan period via:

Maximum of 3 renewals per item.
Reservations

Returning Library items

After-hours chutes are located near the Library entrance for returning items when the Library is closed.

Overdue fines apply to items not returned by their due date.

Persons who fail to return overdue Library items will have their borrowing privileges withdrawn and may face legal action to recover costs.

Lost or damaged items must be paid for before further items may be borrowed. Please do not attempt to repair damaged items, as this is a job for experts.
Items available for loan
Non fiction books are arranged by the Dewey Decimal System. Please ask staff for help in locating items. Reference services are provided for both adults and children.
Fiction books are arranged alphabetically using the author's surname and have been sticker-coded to assist you with your selections. Genre stickers have been placed on the spine of books to indicate their genre. If there is no genre sticker on the spine label, the item is general fiction. See the chart below...

Large print books are available for any borrower who finds them easier to read.
Abridged audio books are available for all users on CD and MP3 CD. A large range of fiction and non-fiction titles are held, including language learning kits.
eAudiobooks - bestseller and classic titles are available for download to computer and MP3 player (loan).
DVD collection includes movies, children's movies, TV series, documentaries, concerts, etc.
Compact discs provide a comprehensive music selection.
Playaways audio book devices which need only a AAA battery and a set of standard headphones to operate.
Magazines covering many topics may be borrowed.
Literacy & numeracy resources - we have numerous resources to help with literacy and numeracy including graded reading schemes, mathematical revision resources and languages other than English (LOTE).
