About Arts Bundaberg
Arts Bundaberg was an initiative of the Arts Centre, Moncrieff Theatre and Bundaberg Library. It was designed to support, promote and inform the local community about arts and culture in the Bundaberg region.
With the amalgamation of Councils in March 2008, Arts Bundaberg expanded to cover the wider region including Bundaberg, Bargara, Childers, Woodgate, Gin Gin and all areas between.
The magazine was a FREE publication and has since been reproduced on this website in the interests of preserving our local history in particular, but also as a record of the arts and cultural environment in the Bundaberg region during that time.
R.I.P. Arts Bundaberg
Unfortunately, due to Council budget cuts, Arts Bundaberg is no longer being produced. The last issue published was Vol 5 No 3 (Apr-Jul 2009). The Library is continuing to publish articles, such as were contributed to Arts Bundaberg, in its online magazine - Lib News. The first issue of Lib News was published in Spring 2009.
