Book Sale - Queen's Birthday Weekend Come along to the Civic Centre from Saturday 8 June to Monday 10 June for 3 huge days of book bargains in the Library's annual book sale. Kicking off at 8.30am each day there will be plenty of items for sale, starting from 50 cents. Get in early to avoid disappointment.
An evening with author Alice Greenup, 12 June City girl Alice Greenup answered and ad for a governess in North Queensland and lived the chook lit fairytale - meeting and marrying her handsome cowboy. The fairytale was not without adversity, however, after an accident tested their love to the limit. Educating Alice is the memoir of Alice's adventures. Book from 29 May.
